Bounce gets a poke and squishes, then a finger taps Squish to start practising.

How Mochi is different

  • More than times tables

Every number fact from Reception to Year 6: bonds, doubles and halves, times tables, place value and mental maths, term by term.

  • No races, no rankings

Children are never ranked against each other. A mistake gets a soft wobble and the right answer, and calm mode takes the hurry out.

  • Progress shown to you

A skill map and a times tables heat map show what's secure and what's next, and a short email arrives every Sunday.

  • Maths and the star chart together

Jobs, stars, rewards and pocket money live in the same app as their maths. No bank card and no second app.

Maths you can squish

Ten minutes a day of questions that follow the national curriculum for England. Right answers earn sparkles to spend on their buddy. A mistake gets a soft wobble and the right answer, never a red cross.

  • Tricky facts come back more often until they're secure.
  • Questions can be read aloud, and calm mode gives a bigger keypad and no rush.
How practice works

A star chart that adds itself up

You choose the jobs and the prizes. Your child taps Done, you approve it from one list, and the stars land on their chart.

  • Stars buy prizes you set, like choosing Friday's dinner.
  • Or they become pocket money at your own rate. You pay it; Mochi keeps the count.
  • Sparkles from maths never turn into money, so learning stays its own reward.
Rewards and pocket money

For parents

See which facts are secure and what comes next, set jobs and rewards with your own stars-to-pounds rate, and get a short email every Sunday.

Mochi for parents

For schools

Nothing to set up and nothing to buy. Parents bring Mochi in, and children see which classmates practised today, with no scores and no leaderboard.

Mochi for schools

Safe for children, private for families

How we keep children safe
  • No adverts, ever
  • No chat between children
  • No leaderboards or public scores
  • Children never need an email or a password
  • Family data stored in London; emails sent from Ireland, pages through a worldwide network

Free, quick, and nothing to download

Mochi runs in the web browser, so there’s no app to install. Sign up with Google or a link sent by email, add your child’s nickname and school year, and they’re ready to squish in a few minutes. It’s free while we test it.
